Curt, go find some sociopath website to make your comments. Your comments paint you as just that. Intentionally hurting someone is not what hockey is about. For that matter, Tucker is one of the smallest players in the entire league and hardly makes a dent in most other bigger players when he hits them.

One of my pet peeves: If I were making the rules of NHL discipline, I would make it so the player is suspended for however many games _and_ the next game against the team against which the player committed the infraction, whenever that next game comes up. I mean, these dirty hits really hurt the opposing franchise and the opposing franchise should gain some benefit from the suspension, IMO.

Umm, really? You have an issue with me expressing an opinion about changing a rule? Especially when I've stated multiple times that it's just my opinion of what the NHL ought to do? Do tell. I'm fascinated to hear why you take issue. Maybe next time you could try actually addressing what I've said. That way, we could turn it into an actual conversation. I know, I know. BTW, I'm sorry that your panties are in a twist because your team lost tonight. But they played a nice little game and really tried hard.... It was just so cute how they couldn't score on a power play, but they just kept skating around like that, acting like they knew what they were doing. (If it sounds like I'm patronizing you--do you need a link to a web dictionary for that?--it's entirely intentional.)

Too bad about this. Another injury for the Avs? Didn't really see the hit so I won't comment about it. All I can say is that it's really scary when something like this happens, whether the other player intentionally wants to hurt someone or he's just completing his check. Whatever happened, I wouldn't want things like this to happen to ANY hockey player, especially to someone on my favorite team.

That was truly awful to see tonight...it was pretty scary to see his foot sort of twitching while he was lying on the ice like that. Hopefully he is okay. I was never a huge fan of Tucker, but he has been great so far this season.

I was at the game and it took the air out of my lungs. I saw him drop and he was motionless. I had to remind myself to breath. I never like to see that and I hope that I never will. I did she him move his arm just before they put the board on the stretcher.

What was taking the crew so long to get the board on the ice. Don't they practice for this? They were yelling and motioning for them to come over and there weren't doing anything. I started yelling from the crows nest to get the board on the ice. Perhaps the emergency response team needs to practice their response. Then it took forever to take down the walkway to get the stretcher there. Listen up, you need a new plan. That didnt work, took way to long and every second counts. The Pepsi Center failed in their emergency response this evening in my eyes. My best wishes go out to Darcy and his wonderful family.

Excellent. I love it. Tucker, after all these years has finally gotten a good, solid taste of his own dirty play. Now he knows exactly what it feels like. I am so happy this finally happened to him before his playing days were over. On that note, let's all hope that this goon's career has been ended.

Nothing wrong with that check. Tucker touched the puck a microsecond before he got plastered. It's his own fault for placing himself in a vulnerable position. Rutuu was finishing his check, something all hockey players are taught to do from day one. Tucker is to blame. I am sick and tired of people blaming hockey players for playing the game hard. It's also not as if Tucker hasn't attempted to injure other players throughout his NHL career. Sometimes karma is a bitch.

When you can see the guys numbers (meaning he's facing the boards) it is illegal to hit him like that. Read the rules and understand the game before you post, because it's called boarding. It is an illegal hit everyday of the week. More often than not it puts a guy's face/head into the boards in a dangerous manner.

Too bad for Tucker, but hockey is a contact sport. That's life. No way that was a dirty hit. The referees over-reacted in calling that a major penalty and a game misconduct. It was, at most, interference. Tucker has a history of cheap shots on other players. This just evens things out a bit. You are all just mad about this because he plays for the Avs. All this overreaction about a player that you were all running out of town last year and this year. Give me a break.

Something drastic needs to be done at Pepsi Center with their so called emergency crew!! The team doctors were on the ice immediately and signaled several time for the stretcher and on camera it appeared they just stood there like dummies, not knowing what to do. Maybe one of our players should have just skated over and grapped the stretcher, that would have saved a lot of prescious time. (although I'm sure that would not be permitted.) I have had the honor of meeting Darcy and his wife, and they are as nice as can be, with a beautiful family. I am proud that he is an Colorado Avalanche, but most of all , I am praying that he will be o.k.
