I think there will be a major annoucement in the next 10-12 days that Sakic, Sundin and Forsberg all come to the Av's this year. Just like in real life, money does not mean everything, so these guys want to win and have fun and go out on a high note in Colorado.

Peter will be back and that is good enough. Actually, it's super awesome.

Sundin isn't going to be an Av. I seriously doubt he even leaves Toronto. The Avs do not have the cap space for him anyway- he is not coming for anything less than 7 million. So unless Joe says adios amigos...

Ha ha ha - trying to divine Sundin's playing future from that one picture would be about as accurate as telling the nature of an Avs player's injury based on a press release claiming "lower body injury" . . . but I still will endulge my daydreams of Foppa, Sundin and Sakic together on the Avs until Sundin and/or Sakic and/or Forsberg make decisions that prevent such from happening . . .

Hopefully Forsberg comes back. I could care less where Sundin goes...unless it's to Colorado, of course.

Hey Adrian, I haven't heard anything from the Avs about this item that was posted on Spector's Hockey Blog. Know anything about this?

AOL FANHOUSE: Blogger Jes Golbez cites an interview on the website of Czech team Pardubice with Colorado Avalanche forward Milan Hejduk where he "all but confirmed" he'd retire from the NHL after his current contract with the Avs expires in two years. Golbez also cites a Czech source who said Hejduk's had some health problems (knee) which have hampered his play. "Milan has an option to undergo major surgery, but would need to rehab for nearly a year after that and it isn't absolutely sure that his knee will be all right again after that. Right now he is at about 80% of his mobility. The Avs wouldn't let him to play at the World Championships because of his knee problems and he himself didn't feel like playing there exactly because of his knee".

That's interesting about Hejduk. (Above post)

I wonder if Mats will be playing in Joe's golf tournament and will have a chance to check out the Denver area, maybe do a little house shopping.

    Let's hope
