Get well Hayner, the boys will sweep this one for you. As for the Mild, they have one line we need to be worried about, Koivu-Veilleux-Radivojevic, and one player- Dear Gabby. They are down 2 D-men and they have Skoula, nuff said. Avs in 4. Forsberg will finish with 9 points.

Look at the positives, if things go well you'll only have to come back to MN one more time for game 5, after that you can take a break from hockey for a while and hopefully rejuvinate your worn out writing style.
Gee, while visiting the homepage for your newspaper I happened to notice the weather in CO and was shocked to see how similar it was to MN. I'm sure that was no surprise to you though. The other funny thing I noticed was that if you read your name backwards there are some key words that describe you pretty well based upon your picture and writing ability. I realize there is a letter missing here and there but if you think about it long and hard you should be able to crack it. Good luck!

Mike Haynes has a brain aneurysm? I sincerely hope that he recovers so that this will be fair game for some good-natured jokes. I guess it will be nice to have Kelly back, but for my money Haynes is the better play-by-play guy. Kelly's "thank you thank you thank you" got on my nerves every single time. Get well Mr Haynes.

Hey Todd, seems Adrian used his opening line to "ridicule", so I don't know how you can take offense to Bobby Smith's comments. In Minnesota, we're not like Canuck or Calgary fans so we truly wish the best for mike haynes.
To hockey, if "consistent" Wild show up, you guys are done 4-1 or 4-2 for the series. If not, things could go poorly for us.

Some good news for the Avs. Mick "Magoo" will not be officiating in this year's playoffs...or ever again after announcing his retirement recently. Good riddance.

I've listened to Mike since he joined the Avs radio broadcast team and no one sounded better on the radio than him. He is better on TV.

I have to say that getting John Kelly to replace him is awesome!! His voice followed some of the best Avs moments in history!! I enjoy both of their calls!! It was weird to hear him call a Blues game!!

bobby smith has know idea what hes talking about, mike haynes is the most exciting broadcaster in all of sports next to gary thorne his enthusiasm gives you such excitement and he was the only broadcaster that let you picture the play by play perfectly on the radio, every time the avs scored a goal whether its in october or march he would send chills down your body with such excitement. i am going to be thinking of him alot and is in my prayers. im sure mike will pull through with flying colors. take care mike me and my family will be thinking and praying for you. take care and god bless you

I can see where you guys are coming from regarding my comments, I certainly wasn't downplaying the seriousness of the situation with Mike Haynes. I was merely reacting to the other garbage AD wrote. I would think you'll agree that it's a bit strange for supposed professional writer to include a chiding comment on a blog meant to wish his colleague well. I think Lindy has it right but just backwards, what he probably meant to say is that he agrees with Phil about Bobby Smith...what a lousy way to post a criticism...using a blog entry for Mike....
I don't know if the readership of his paper is just used to his writing style but I can honestly say I am surprised he is allowed to write for a major newspaper. I can tell you his style wouldn't make it in the Twin Cities.

I just heard about Mike and I just said a prayer for he and his family at this very difficult time for them. He is such an exciting play-by to listen to. Such an amazing voice.
